Blood symbolizes pain, blood is royalty Blood is the language of the slain Blood is strength, the essence of the living And from the dying it escapes Untold is the power that resides In the ichor of the flesh Open veins reveal the treasure of the ritual Pure energy released The trail that leads the hunter to his prey And the wounded beast The courage to fight, or to escape Blood is ascendency, and the color of defeat Blood is the dusk, and is the dawn Bread for the earth to feast upon Rolling, a crimson streak remains Motionless, body slowly drains Unconscious, vitality now wanes Liquid life muddies the dust And the light in the eyes now fades Praying for purification, a cleansing of all impurities Striving for invigoration, perfection of pedigree Feeling the heavy ache of a heart that bleeds Or seeing red, with an urge to kill a hated enemy Blood is ascendency, and a messenger of grief Blood is the dusk, and is the dawn Fresh for the wolves to wet their maws Blood, Blood Blood is ascendency, and it carries poison and disease Blood is the dusk, and is the dawn Blood is a riddle we long have dwelled upon ...and it flows on

Convicted of a crime, sentenced now to die Terror rips your mind as you realize you will Feel the razor sliding beneath your skin Slowly pulled away in strips You are flayed Bound to a table The wood stained black from years of gore Heart is pounding right out of your chest As the executioners approach A sharp pain as the blade splits your skin Despite yourself you cry out, howling in agony This fiendish reparation, carried out haltingly Mind is bending, cannot accept what you feel and see Stripped from the ankles up to the knees The worst is yet to come Deeper into insanity, weeping and wailing and trembling Feel the razor sliding beneath your skin Slowly pulled away in strips You are flayed Shock defeats you As they peel your skin away A bloody mess, they carve and dissect Decorticate, a husk to disconnect Such suffering! Feel the razor sliding beneath your skin Slowly pulled away in strips You are flayed A numbness begins to take you away A vague sensation akin to sinking into a freezing lake How long can this go on, you’re trying now to die Still feel them cutting... and tugging... and tearing Flayed!

A life lived, and sickness takes it away so cruel and callously The body strong, but mind decays and lacks emotion Every memory erased, the good and bad alike Existing on the edge of life and death Hollow inside, barely alive, laying in bed There’s nothing to be done, they say Maybe today, perhaps tomorrow life will slip away It’s terminal ... terminal What does one do to deserve such suffering What kind of god is so cold-blooded, sadistic, and inhumane Confined to a world between the living and the grave Languishing unconsciousness To darkness enslaved There’s nothing to be done, they say Maybe today, perhaps tomorrow life will slip away Terminal Lucidity, Terminal Lucidity Suddenly the eyes are open looking around they’re focusing Speech returns and recognition, present once again See how the clouds have parted, it seems astonishing The person that was once known is returning This is a miracle, they say Maybe today, perhaps tomorrow things will be okay Terminal Lucidity, Terminal Lucidity But it’s only temporary... Heaving chest, gasping for breath Back into this cage of flesh Hands reach out, grasping at hallucinations Soon they fall, and rest in perfect still

Daylight fades away The sun sets for the last time Heralding the conclusive extinction Of our security Lo, the weeping masses Mourn their dying light No salvation for them remains Only darkness and cold And the flock has lost its remaining sight At enormous cost Nowhere to run This is the Black Winter Death will close in, beware This is the Black Winter Chaos will reign Until the Shining One will emerge again With knowledge of the Flame And all the ash of oppression Rise to the heavens From whence it came Nowhere to run This is the Black Winter Death will close in, beware This is the Black Winter

Open my eyes, in what world am I Try to breathe, white coats are watching me Priests of the new age Injecting doses, poisoning Cut flesh and burn Answers I can never learn Gait halting Heart pounding Confusing What is this world of din and flashing light Am I a monster am I even alive And did they hurt me, or was I made Drowning deep in the bio-waste Bogged and mired Bogged and mired Bogged and mired Sinking under yet still I breathe I feel my body breaking down As though I'm riddled with disease Unending pain I can't get over This fearful quandary Disembodied, floating in a sea Of icy pain and nightmares are lingering Isolated and cast aside Nobody cares if I live or die This is a life deprived A struggle just to press onward A struggle to face the lie Bogged and mired Bogged and mired Bogged and mired Brain is faded, and dreams degraded Losing ground, and falling down My thoughts they turn to revenge I feel my body breaking down As though I'm riddled with disease Unending pain I can't get over This fearful quandary One foot in front of the other I slowly make my way Into an unknown future This fearful quandary

Bleeding, feel the essence drain Impending loss of life It courses out with each pulse of your slowing heart No knowledge of what's happened And now, the eyes turn inward Strength it withers away Standing on the edge of life and death Overcome by realization When life stops, the process begins It no longer matters, those things once known Only the thought of what's yet to be Defining life is the bane of fools Now feel your perishment And the squeeze of gravity And now the process takes hold Consciousness flies into the void And now the river ceases to flow Flesh pressed into soil of earth Tissues liquefied, a lifeless corpse in the living dirt Forces from below, they pull on every living thing This world, it hungers for blood and bone Insatiable, an unending need Defining life is the bane of fools Now feel your perishment And the squeeze of gravity Pulled into the soil Rotting, and swallowed by the world

Crawling skin, memories of your cold hand upon my neck A feeling of utter dread To see your eyes turn to black The horror remains unsaid A twisted head, with walls built up inside Caging a million demons And hell becomes my mind Plague of despair Once I was far beyond its icy stare Creeping in, a chilling destiny A feeling of suffocation No words of comfort to be heard Nor would they be taken Plague of despair It's inside of me, I feel it everywhere Plague of despair Longing for the end of all things Breathing black air Pulling me like marionette strings My flesh has always known A flash of life bookended by darkness An existence already too brief Cut down purposely Plague of despair Never feel like me A monster in control of my body Plague of despair A final breathe of air I'm prepared...

I regret the day When fire filled my mind When the flame cast its light Into my eyes for the first time I was so young, enraptured by its beauty Such exquisite grace And its devilish touch Would cause my heart to race Whispering so sweet to me When no one else would speak to me All the power in the world At the end of its consuming caress The power to make them pay The ones who would not care for me I regret the day I lit the fuel That burned our world away The smell of her wilting hair and flesh Still lingers in my mind Never to be forgotten As a child I danced in this room In circles by dim candle light I could escape it all for a while But only until that door would open And darkness did come swiftly then And came down so brutally The same room which now burns before me So much light in this place today But she dances for me now She dances in the flames And sings so fiercely Writhing on the floor I give to her the escape That I longed for chorus An escape from my own torment The hell of life to me A hellish death to her There were good times There was love But it was just a dream solo Sitting in my corner I long for that caress... chorus An escape from my own torment The hell of life to me A hellish death to her There were good times There was love But it was just a dream I regret the day I stood over her She was drunk again I took that cigarette Hanging loose from her lips That smoldering stench How it burned my eyes Blown coldly in my face She was already dead Dead inside, and so was I I poured on the gasoline She only moved a little Until that cigarette fell Oh then she danced! Now my hands are smeared With the greasy ash Of the one who gave me life This life I hate This life for which I did not ask I regret the day I was born into this world
