Oh faithless shadow, pale reflection of life How you lurk about seeking for yourself Breathing yet weeping, seemingly existing A soulless form of all its warmth bereft I gazed in the greyish mirror, and beheld nothingness While growing inside, I felt its cold embrace Come to me, woe undreamed of Guide my soul to your shores Visions of salvation I can’t recall I ever was, no matter, so futile Now that I passed away in the fading light My eyes open wide I wept, yet could not see beyond What was I to find in the darkness before me? In the sunless fields of twilight dreams The wings of unreality unfold And though my eyes stare into what seems to be There’s nothing there but the shadow of hope And again I fall into the darkness The only truth I’ve ever known Forever denied to me the blessing of light I curse the remnants of this life Shadows of light rip through my mind Tearing within my soul to fly Won’t I open my eyes and die? Oh please, let me die, Oh please let me die Here after I hear the wind calling Like echoes of a vision forlorn My name sung over and over again Broken into laughter as I reach out Why was I left to un-rest in this dark place? When all I ever wished for was to end it all The icy embrace of the blade upon my flesh My last communion with this god forsaken world And again I fall into the darkness The only truth I’ve ever known Forever denied to me the blessing of light I curse the remnants of this life Bring upon this fallen world the wrath of centuries gone A plague upon all humankind for none deserve the light of dawn Here my lament from beyond, my silent song, my spell of hate The angels have forsaken me; my only heaven is my grave I curse this god and all its kind, those sheep on their knees for all time As a wolf I have lived and died and for this I am damned to lie Endlessly slumbering in the dark, forgotten by both life and death Is this the price I am to pay for refusing to kneel and obey?

Fall down from the sky Feathers black like the rain, no hope The sun fell behind the curtain of a greyish dusk As autumn leaves dance in the wind The last chime of our world echoes in nothingness Who but the ravens are left to care for us? As veils of bereavement unfold before my eyes open wide I’m looking back into my past searching for the reason why When the dawn’s first light graced my eyes tears of sorrow fell down from the sky I rose to wash my hands in streams of ever flowing purity With sadness I reached for the heavens knowing that I will never die I yearn to bleed like all men do and lay down to never ending sleep Who am I if not a shadow, a soulless wraith in flesh disguised? Neither sun nor moon to mourn me only perennial solitude Sing for me winds of memory Sing for me winds of memory Why was I cursed thus?
