Twa Jørg-J-Draak Saga (The Legend Of The Two Stonedragons)
TOTAL WAR. (M.S. Saglimbeni) (With the presence of Claudio Cattero, in “Gloria”, as a background vocal) Part I: Gloria. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Sanctus Domine, Sanctus Domine, es in coelo, es in coelo. Sanctus Domine, Sanctus Domine, es in coelo. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Part II: Black out. The sun is turning black and the Earth is shaking deep down in her bowels. The sun is turning black and the Earth is shaking deep down in her bowels. I think there’ll be no chance for the human race: it is now the time, the time of black out. I think there’ll be no chance for the human race: it is now the time, the time of black out. The sky’s becoming overcast, there’s a clear pink cloud; you have no chance. The sky’s becoming overcast, there’s a clear pink cloud; you have no chance. You can only be waiting for a heat of hell melting steel: it’s now, it is black out. You can only be waiting for a heat of hell melting steel: it’s now, it is black out. They said it on the radio, but you feel it’s just here: it’s the nuclear war. They said it on the radio, but you feel it’s just here: it’s the nuclear war. Your army of death, our nations of lies, finally in the darkness for the black out. Your army of death, our nations of lies, finally in the darkness for the black out.

THE NEW TIME’S HERO. (words: R. Sgrò; lyrics&music: M.S. Saglimbeni, R.Sgrò) If now I close my eyes, I will dream poesies, I will dream of magic, I will dream of mankind tomorrow rising up again. Here people now are weeping tears of pain but someone believes that peace and harmony tomorrow will come again. Rit.1. He will fight for us, he will strive for us, he’s living among us, he’s a warrior of time. He will fight for us, he will strive for us, he’ll deliver us from this technology. Rit.1. ..... Sand and dust, over all my planet, since that day when the nuke blew up. What hope is it there? Rit.1. ..... Rit.2. Here in my hands I’m looking at the sand flowing with the time, here before me. Wind is bringing it away, wind is blowing it away, towards a new day when life will be again.

RENEGADE ( beyond the glass). (words & music: R. Sgrò; lyrics: M.S. Saglimbeni, R. Sgrò) So, this was the begining of the strong fight for freedom; just an air base as my home, bare and cold, like my heart. Rit1. No more than madness of mankind is the whole of our heritage: in this planet, which is dying, and the war takes away my life and all my dreams, but, I know, I will fight. Here I am, you know, a daring rebel without name. Here I am, now overwhelmed, I’m looking out all through the glass. Now, the rain is not enough and my planet will not sprout. Rit1. Here I’am, you know, a renegade without land. Var. In this world, the only trouble is above all to survive. For those who can decide, to have mercy, is a luxury now. Rit2. I’m looking out, beyond the glass, my reality: a desert land; green trees no more, for me, just dreams, and my feverish heart wants revenge. Var. So, I will fight, looking for my way, wishing to see justice, breaking these chains, matching the feats of ancient warriors. Rit2.

CALED’S LAST FLIGHT. (words & lirics: R. Sgrò; music: M.S. Saglimbeni, R. Sgrò) Start the motor of your plane and listen to your broken heart, stoping for an instant, now you too can remember. Caled, remember your wife and the soldier who shot her... the rebel hidden by her was only a child. Var. Look! My Earth is an expanse of sand, of ruins, but don’t stop yet, Caled; Caled, dream! Fly toward the palace where the powerful, who oppress the people, live. Rit. Caled, fly up in the sky and bring with you your anger and your freedom, now you can’t stop, Caled; in the wake of your plane, Caled, there is your past, which will not, will not come again. Do you remember that day: you could not save your wife ... that child, just a clone, like a Guinea pig to be tested. Your freedom has not a price and not even in a sunless prison you gave in to the unfair will of a cruel tyrant. Var. Now, you want that your world may see again the dawn of a day without war, Caled, fly! Fight against the tyrant, fight for freedom, Caled, fight your battle, fight and set Earth free. Rit. Caled, fly up in the sky and bring with you your anger and your freedom, now, you know, there is only one way to save us and you know that you’ll never, you’ll never, you will never fly back.

THE MAID AND THE WILLOW. (M.S. Saglimbeni) Tell me, tell me, my old willow, how long I was walking alone in the woods. Tell me, tell me my old willow, if the storm is coming near. I was crying, I was crying while I was praying, I was looking at anything when I was wandering. Look at me: I’m crying, I’m crying silently and rain is confusing my tears. Talk to me, talk to me, my old willow, none is waiting for my going back. Talk to me, talk to me, my old willow, if I come nearer I can listen to you. Sing to me, sing to me, my old willow, about stories of secrets that no one can know. Sing to me, sing to me, my old willow, if I stay nearer I can listen to you. Hold me, hold me, my old willow, forever together we will have a dream. Hug me, hug me, my old willow, because I won’t go back. Over this world, over this time, forever together we will see. Sing with me, sing with me, we’re singing in the wind, where anyone will never meet us. (Sing for me,....) Sing for her, sing for her, my old tree, the tale of the willow and the young maid. Over this world, over this time, it’s a story that none can know. They said, they said that, sometimes, someone hears then singing in the night. Now they sing, now they sing in the wind, hear them: you get lost in the woods.

DRAGON LORD. (M.S. Saglimbeni) To defend the truth, every ten centuries, a dragon awakes to control if honour is still alive: so mankind fears his coming back. I’m alone, to face the dragon, our race will die, ‘cause that it’s the will of the gods. To die fighting, having your power, our race’ll come back, ‘cause so pleases the gods. The eagle is strong, is riding the dragon. My soul would like peace, but only fire, only your breath, only fight, will bring justice back. Living in justice, to quiet the dragon, our race will win, ‘cause so delights God. Give me your power, I’ll take revenge, I’ll be the sword, you’ll give the voice, ‘cause this it’s the will of God.

LULLABY. ( lyrics&music: M.S. Saglimbeni; original text*) Lullaby, lullaby, my little fire-fly, show me all my dreams as I’m singing, give me some light flying on my side, clear up the grass-blades in front of my way, let me sleep with joy, with joy in my heart. Come near my sweet little fire-fly, come here and tomorrow we’ll have a feast; light in the night, you’re flying and I’m singing. You: my little fairy and me: king of the night... come near and my song will be the pledge of all my love. Forever together my little fire-fly, show me all my dreams as I’m singing, give me some light flying on my side, clear up the grass-blades in front of my way, let me sleep with joy, with joy in my heart. *from: Il respiro del grande spirito. SPRING’S DANCE. (words & music: M.S. Saglimbeni; lyrics: M.S. Saglimbeni, T. Vadalà) The evening is here, tomorrow will come, tomorrow is the day, it has been in my dreams. This evening, in the village, a feast will be given, and everyone will dance, will dance, all night long. La la la.... The whole year round, he has been away, but tomorrow, tomorrow, he will come back. This evening, in the village, at the feast I will dance, I will dance, I will dance, I’ll be waiting for him. La la la..... The morning is here, I see, they’re coming back, the moment is near, he’ll be with me again. I’m looking for him, but now I can’t see him, they’re coming, they’re coming, but my love’s not here. La la la..... I’m looking for him, but he’s not here, he has not come back, I don’t know why. They tell me: “he is dead”, but I don’t believe it, so, I think he’s alive and I’ll be waiting for him. La la la....

WAR AGAIN. (words: R. Sgrò; lyrics&music: M.S. Saglimbeni, R. Sgrò) It’s war again, for my tired hands, it’s war again, for my broken heart, there’re howls again, for my suffered ear, there’s blood again, for my sad eyes. Wind’s blowing over the cold land, wind’s talking about an old wailing, wind’s screaming his empty revenge, wind’s hissing and he’ll bring the Winter. Winter’ll come and he will hide death, Winter’ll come and he’ll freeze the ground, Mother Earth who will receive everyone, Mother Earth who will bring life. This eternal cycle is ending, ice and fire give us cold and heat, earth and sky together are our world, love and war give us life and death.
