The All-Consuming
Oh, wanderers in endless void we are Yet not by choice Both bond by gravity and hearts We boldly stride through space and time Through space and time Alike the moth, we circle unfazedly the beacon Of which we descend To take us on eternal orbits In grave silence and solitude Alike the moth, we circle unfazedly the beacon Of which we descend To takе us on eternal orbits In grave silеnce and solitude In relentless haste They chase each other through the time Leaving displaced Silver and gold revolve again Shifting the light Throughout the rise and fall of tides Between day and night We caught a glimpse of what could be A single glimpse of what could be So when I leave you here, remember I’ll be there, as you gaze upon the sky Stardust we were, stardust we’ll be Forever weightless in serenity

Tin-tainted traces of sound depart this tongue And as with all men being, it is sparseness Which may bear the weight And as good as guns are for shooting humans as he remarked Is there no effort to be made on a trip undertaken alone? And as much as the wind may howl through a hollow casing There lies a grace in the extraction of the force it may bring the essence It was his to channel, and channel he did They spoke that a great truth liеs buried in the trenchеs of France The one that ended in the incompatibility of man and the fight But was it not the marksman, the ever-watchful eye Who told a better one with but the rifle he takes along? The one that a self-shackled hand was led astray by The one that knew not of the teachings of or days And only therefore bore the truest knowledge of right and wrong Simple marksman in the pines, lay not down to rest These woods are for the living and the earth is yours to take

We’ve sailed on clouds through heaven Our hands healing the deepest rift Reached for the clock to reverse time A moment too perfect to pass Entangled, merged and intertwined A scarlet dress, a worn-out shirt The velvet scent of amber nights Your eyes reflecting morning light Parting hands, on fingertips An afterglow of fondling heat How something so beautiful Can be the cause of so much pain! Wе’ve sailed on clouds through heavеn Our hands reaching out in the mists Trying to catch a fleeing moment A moment already passed

There were the demons, and there were four of them The pale whites, entrapping, circling And did I face them, each of them With a gun-less stare, a stand-off in the void Yet there was more, the all-consuming The unquenchable source of words The all-consuming comparison of times and beings And reason for my counsel with the walls There it was, the all-consuming black And stuffed my neck with foam And nеver am I more free to roam the mind As at timеs my surroundings turn to stone There they were, the all-consuming ruins Before a great pile of the finest bricks And I, knee-deep in dust Scraping mortar out from under the debris I knew the all-consuming, and I did know its trade Its beginning and its end My scrawny foe, the one I held up high And with her in my grasp, blacking out my sun

I can’t tell you about the winds The ones which shock my bones and minds And, as turning into storms Left crippled me and freezing I can’t tell you about the flames The ones I hopes would ease the cold But cast shadows upon my heart And left me scorched and scarred I can’t tell you about the soil The one I had to dig through deep A fruitless search for precious roots Left me forlorn in leaves and dirt And I can’t tell you about the rain The one which sinks into the soul A myriad of drops, turning into a flood Left me dripping water, wet and purgеd And here I stand, with nothing more to givе The words so many, yet to say so less A broken man with broken thoughts Picking up pieces to put them in place And here I am, shivering, on my bare feet I don’t want you to heal, I don’t want you to mend Just bury me inside your warmth And seal these lips forever And seal these lips forever!
