Am I strong enough to stay by your side? I am so lost in the void of life Everything that’s gone Everything that comes Will we get through the storm that never ends? Stepping aside to live Breaking apart to manage Bowing for a chance to breathe To remain and return Fearing the mist arising Fighting our ghosts despising Awaiting the end To escape and return Where souls are lost in light Where darkness holds our lies I’ll keep our wounds in sight I’ll go through plague and die Through gates of hell I walk Through countless surrenders Until I’m torn apart And leave forever Life is no gift I know Should I fall for more? I escaped past To become a ghost I’m not here to serve I’m not here to beg There’s no end to the path of broken glass Crawling through thorns to hide Crowning the fools to hold on Failing the loved ones To remain and return Going insane to run Collecting the fear to manage To stay on my path To escape and return
