What is the nature of this? A standard always amorphic Strange, how easy to list: Routine tediously cyclic I don’t know where I get it from I rely so much on expectation Castles of air amidst this very sober reason Yes I profess abnegation But never you mind; Great hopes, little one, I’ll bear your delusion I admit that no one is sovereign Not even I No, I don’t even try I admit that no one is sovereign Not even I No, I don’t even try And never you mind – I’ve asked nothing of you Nothing which lies at your promise behest Never has nothing rang through I don’t know where I get it from I rely so much on expectation Castles of air amidst this very sober reason Yes I profess abnegation But never you mind; Great hopes, little one, I’ll bear your delusion Master all by easy hand, I commit no act of violence Marching to the strike of fragile cadence And I see you in the corner, distressed Somehow I’m not impressed I admit that no one is sovereign Not even I No, I don’t even try I admit that no one is sovereign Not even I No, I don’t even try But I wonder, when did we decide? If you’re determined, I promise it’s done I am with you Changing from nothing to one

Moral shadows dancing on these walls A surge of insight amidst the fall To know this commonwealth again The spectre growing ever tall And no creed remains Only filth detained No more wanton blindness Disregard the value slain In these halls – words of grandeur riding A western code, I detest all placid laws Only creatures of the earth abiding The fowl of the air And the fish of the sea As these I conjure Us rendered unity reborn Disappear Flee Not wither slowly away The wind will carry me To leave behind that which plagues a man To simply flee And you moral shadows dancing evermore No surge of insight Acuity closed the door Forget a commonwealth again As I exterminate the I And start to live again

In this skeletal form, rupture skin and flesh Wake these eyes of bone to life In this skeletal form, rupture skin and flesh The ashes of the dead arise Past an enormity of stifling redundancy We suck breath into this dry carcass With joints that crack and veins that run gravel To set in motion, exultant Skeleton, churning rivers of smoke Skies laughing with blood Islands separated by a fraction of surface Conductors through holy submission and humble duty Shed an iron shroud and inventing fire Vibrant ghoul, birthing thunder and lunacy Serve Reaver, fool, carve justice from within Priestess, exacting judgment of a silver globe Apparition dissolve Dissolve and depart In this skeletal form, reverberate and shudder In this larval state, germinate and stutter In this skeletal form, carry until it is over Serve

Sediment upon sediment Lapping like waves at my spine To linger in this fury You versus I Welcome opponent You versus I Negation in smothering grip To behold and despise Yet if I strain my eyes I still glimpse an unspun Mile of lies between us So tread lightly My enemy Sediment upon sediment Lapping like waves at my spine To linger in this fury You versus I Welcome opponent You versus I Negation in smothering grip To behold and despise Yet if I strain my eyes I still glimpse an unspun Mile of lies between us So tread lightly My enemy

I, author of strife Spread ashen wings Mad avian glare Sharpen both talon and break Simplify to Modify to Amplify to Carry them to war Heave, hordes Bring me their heads on a plate Heave, hordes Lord of their doom and their fate I, shepherd of fools Congress of goats Fell masses bleat With lust for black blood I will carry them to war Simplify to Modify to Amplify to Carry them to war Heave, hordes Bring me their heads on a plate Heave, hordes Lord of their doom and their fate I will carry them to war

A Goliath so spasmodic Turn of events, ominous, historic Safeguard a creed demonic Love of war and war for love Through this age The ranks of the disaffected swelled The spectacle of imperia Wheel of doctrine in motion An industrialized anemia A wind of retaliation I see your blood-red eye And your sore interpretation No comfort when you die Let's talk of origin, a common source Indus festival of man You see, the way the river flows We are one, in grimy fever damned And I'm tired, sardonic And I'm tired, sardonic Dancing To your dirge catatonic To hear these precious bells in harmony The dispossessed, and their manifest, a token melody

We used to care But things have changed Where joy should reign Painted lines on your face To grasp your gaze restrained So tranquil the outside rain Stillborn, my child Underneath the skull of night The cold has a voice the one that made me so old And sweet determination That versatile thing It's not consolation You are here to learn We were born in this town Where we cherished quiet rain Stories everywhere Lives were sculpted here In this town where few know love Our communality once so strong Things here have changed It airs no need to hold I would like to meet the villain somewhere He who tore apart Burn his eyes with fire And then step back, fall into peace And watch the silver rain The tranquil silver rain

The city I am My alleys veins, my water nurture Nobody need stand on ceremony before my doors I am a home to you And to them Of ashes they come In sackcloth cloaked Much was told of me Listen to my names, different by tongue A rose by any other name smells just as sweet The banners flying in the wind over my towers Purposeless I have no flag, no religion No loyalty I harbor all but stand for none A waver, declaring my immunity Diaspora The one without religion inside the dogma Listen to those long gone It is they who are loyal to me Those in sackcloth And those who yearn for me Some are pious, some cater to whims, some provoke But I am a labyrinth of layers Find only sense Without a compass For the city I am
