Tribute To Bathory
Ride the Dragon's breath, mist of poison green Come ye flames, a burning death, face the unseen Deep within the cave, lit up by the torch, a pale gleam As told of in the ancient tales, the Sword of gold and steel Eyes of ember, fangs and claws Creature of fire Jaws of death, walk through the haze Crimson and dire Engulfed in mist, the Sword of Gods Onwards son and ride the Dragon's breath Struch from mountain are, chilled in morning dew Forged by hand of Gods, when the world was young, this land anew Blade of shining steel, grip covered in gold Carved into its blade, the legend unfold Eyes of ember, fangs and claws Creature of fire Jaws of death, walk through the haze Crimson and dire Gods in the shy, the Sword is mine Untouched I am by the mist of the Dragon's breath

One man rode the way through the woods Down to Asa bay Where dragon ships had sailed to sea More times than one could say To see with own eyes the wonder People told of from man to man The God of all almightyness Had arrived from a foreign land The rumours told of a man Who had come from the other side the seas Carrying gold cross around neck in chain And spoke in strange tongue of peace He had come with strange men in armour Dressed in purple shirts and lace Smelling not of beer but flowers And with no hair in face And the bold man carrying cross Had told all one of Asa bay The God of all man woman child had come To them all save And to thank Lord of Heaven One should build to God a house And to save one's soul from Hell One should be baptised and say vows A man of pride with the Hammer told new God To build his house on own And spoke loud of the Gods of their fathers Not too long time gone The rumours said the man with a beard like fire And the Hammer in chain By men in armour silenced was and by Their swords was slain Those who did not pay the one coin Of four to man of new God Whipped was twenty and put in chains then locked By their neck to the log [To the log...] And so all of Asa bay did build A house of the cross Every hour of daylight they did sweat Limbs ached because faith does cost And on the day two hundred There it stood white to the sky The house of the God of the cross Big enough to take two dragon ships inside And all of Asa bay did watch The wonder raise to the sky Now must the God of the cross be pleased And satisfied Just outside the circle of the crowd One old man did stand He looked across the waters And blotted the sun out of his eyes with one hand And his old eyes could almost see The dragon ships set sail And his old ears could almost hear Men of great numbers call out Oden's hail And though he did know already Though he turned face towards sky And whispered silent words forgotten Spoken only way up high Now this house of a foreign God does stand Now must they leave us alone Still he heard from somewhere in the woods Old crow of wisdom say ...people of Asa land, it's only just begun...

Twinkle bright Aldebaran, the star of solitude Somewhere there is a lake of fire, pity all the fools Sorry are the desolate, the unfree and obedient For this is not the spring of love, it is the winter of discontent Standing at the shore of lake of fire Standing at the shore of Lake Of Fire Standing at the shore of Lake Of Fire Standing at the shore of Lake Of Fire Blood mooney, for thirty pieces of silver You shall buy yourself the time The quivering meat conception, deflorate the virgin fair Succumb to your own passion, recieve the garland made from angel's hair Crown yourself, the thorns will cut you, bleeed your majesty But by dawn it will all satisfy no more, dethrones you weep Dumped along the shore of lake of fire Dumped along the shore of Lake Of Fire Dumped along the shore of Lake Of Fire Dumped along the shore of Lake Of Fire So you've been left in chains to rot away in your own stinking rest You'll hang till death in your own entrails What you're gonna do, peasants with nukes But death you'll see shall make us free

Fifteen years have passed Every day the woods have cried the words of vengeance and revenge. The Gods have watched him day and night by the Northern stars bright light. Growing stronger. Coming nearer. Upon a steed as white as snow he is riding through this land of no return His hair blowing in the wind A sword in his hand. And his eyes they burn. Guide me, my Ravens. Find the way through the woods and snow Let your eyes be mine seeking for the valley of death Come this far, I am willing to face the twin-headed beast's breath Let your wings be my heart in the air, black as night. I have steel at side. Powers of thunder The Gods with me ride I trust in my ravens, watching from above Black as night. Swift as lightning, and graceful as doves. I trust in my Stallion. Born by the wind, Taking me through the valley where this world ends, and the shadows begin I trust in my sword. Forged in fire and ice. It's sharp blade shall be baptised in blood as I take the Beast's life. Cry, old crow, cry... Come out of the darkness you beast of Hell, face me. Out on this field of moonlit snow. I will not be deterred by your ugliness. Before my sword your two heads will roll. I will not let my sword rest until it's steel has song for your ugly twin heads. I'll wipe the sweat off my face with your bloody scalps and watch your four eyes telling me that you're dead. Gathering speed. Charging forward. collision is close now. The swords are drawn, held high. they flash in the pale blue moonlight. aiming at throats bare. The moment is so near The time seems to halt for a while Even the stars in the sky hold their breath This is the moment of glory or death... The moment to maim or to be put to rest... So close now I almost can hear the black blood in the beast's thick veins pumping. I am swinging my sword. May the Gods be with me. I ride out through the vast portals of Hel. I swing my sword in the air. And the dead beast's two bloody scalps attached to a spear. Now is come the moment for me to set free those, a long time ago, brought far north by the twin-headed beast. On that daybreak when the old crow did cry... That hard winter when I, still a child... By my Father was told of a hall way above the clouds, Gates open wide for the one who dies with sword in hand.

There is a serpent in every Eden Slick as grease and cold as ice There is a lie in every meaning Rest assured to fool you twice In this age of utter madness We maintain we are in control And ending life before deliverance While countries are both bought and sold Holy writtings hokus-pokus Blaze of glory and crucifix Prepriced costly credit salvations TV-preachers and dirty tricks Don't trust nobody It will cost you much too much Beware of the dagger It caress you at first touch O, all small creatures It is the twilight of the gods When the foundations to our existence Begins to crumble one by one And legislations protects its breakers And he who was wrong but paid the most won Even the gods of countless religions Holds no powers against this tide Of degeneration because we have now found That there is no thrones up there in the sky Run from this fire It will burn your very soul Its flames reaching higher Comed this far there is no hold O, all small creatures It is the twilight of the gods [Twilight of the gods Twilight of the gods Twilight of the gods Twilight of the gods]

Resting by my fire. Looking deep into it's flames. My mind must have been somewhere else Far beyond these plains. I am suddenly aware of a pair of eyes staring at me. I turn around and behold the most ugly thing I have seen. The woman standing in the glade like a shadow in the night Points her wretched finger at me with a wretched smile And she asks me in a voice that sounds as if it's been so long since she spoke, if I seek magic then I should come along I'm but a man. Mortal, a man. But she leaves no footprints in the snow Still I follow on to where she is going For she has promised me magic if I follow on. She takes me to a part of these woods few have ever seen. Where the sun surely won't reach Still the ground ominously gleams. She says she's seen me coming and that she knows where I'll go. But before I leave she says there is this one thing I should know. She offers me the ability to take a fatal wound. Every cut by sword or spear will be absorbed by her tree-womb. The magic will remain until it's time for me to part with this mortal world. And all she'll claim is my young heart. I'm but a man. Mortal, a man. And I'll need all the help that I can get. So I give my heart to the woman of the dark With or without it...my life is not over yet. Wing of bat and lizard's eye. Dust of a star fallen from the sky. Tears of a virgin, and the cum of a god. Thirteen drops of an infant's blood A twist of a cat's spit and oil of the moon Stir for a while and very soon A salve to be applied upon the chest close to where the heart beats strong. No pains will occur when her hand is pushed into my flesh She'll slowly draw my living heart out of my open chest. She'll place my heart in the pit of the snake and behold the years go by. Hers to keep from the moment when the time has come for me to die.

O, so it is written son When all waters and land you see All around came to birth Man and beast was one And the gods of the sky Walked the face of the earth Few free and innocent Man strolled paths next to those Of beasts seeing no signs But stars in the sky Knowing of day and night Of rain and winds, hunger and fright But not of death nor of life While all was at ease with all Living creatures and beast and the gods of the sky enjoyed the lavish riches of this world, giants rose out of their caves and took to the skies challenging the gods for the power of the universe. Only when the great halls of Valhalla stood aflame lighting up the worlds all around did the gods wake up from their drunken sleep, to speed through the heavens and clash with the giants in the greatest battle ever seen. Heads arms and legs of both giant and god fell down upon the earth and... The weapons... The swords of shining metal... And those who found them and took these shining blades in hand were only men, now man was the master of this world. The story tells of stormy skies [sings: raging winds] Black clouds gathered up high And of lightning striking from a Burning bloodred sky The mountains crumbled to the seas Earth shook the worlds collide Ending the age of gods Giving birth to our time And man lived and learned The secret of steel Ore of earth - fire of sky Forged is blade of gods Blood and iron Blood and iron Blood and iron Blood and iron Blood and iron Blood and iron Blood and iron Blood and iron So the age to learn and to teach for man begins, the power to know the blood and iron discipline, and tell the story of how man was granted these shining blades of steel Knowing of the past she will know of the tomorrow and man shall reign, yes, even conquer other worlds and she will set sails on her starships sailing across the black space and become the new gods of the skies. [The skies... the skies... the skies... the skies... the skies... the skies... the skies...] Blood and iron.

The one eyed old man told me that the fates that I will see Has paralysed a thousand brave men sure of victory I cannot fight blindfolded and I'd freeze if I should see. So I need to sacrifice my eyes to see all from within. The one eyed old man told me of a lake that no-one knows of. where the end of the sky unites with the bottom countless feet down deep And he told me when this world was young into it's depths his eye he had thrown So that though one eyed, he could see more than can be seen. I'll throw my eyes into the lake. So that I will see from within I'll throw my eyes into the lake And when blind I will still see. At the bottom of the lake. My two eyes will shine like the stars At the bottom of the lake I will see no matter how near or far Regardless at which speed my horse takes me through the night No matter how sharp the blade of my sword seems to be. Even with the aid of two pair of eyes way up high In the end before the Beast, it's face I would have had to see. But with my two eyes in the depths my vision is supreme I see all things that can't be seen but not my hand that is held out in front of me. The face that makes me freeze I now need not see at all. I'll feel the presence of the Beast. but will not need stare him down no more. I've thrown my eyes into the lake. So that I will see from within I've throw my eyes into the lake And now when blind I still see. At the bottom of the lake. My two eyes are shining like the stars At the bottom of the lake I now see no matter how near or far

[For as long as the grass grows For as long as the stream flows And the sun shines down unto those Only they who walks the clouds knows For how long the wind blows And the sky is blue above us] O, I am a man and I hold in my hand my fate Free as the wind as if even I had wings that carried me Still in the middle of the night Even I will need light to guide me So I turn my face to the sky from Where he with one eye is watching over me My fathers' gods - I ride for you My fathers' gods - I fight for you My fathers' gods - I die for you My fathers' gods - I am coming through to you My fathers' gods - I am yours Through blood by thunder Sound of wings in the air and his ravens fly near to lead me So I will not fail to ride down the trail long time destined for me long before I was born O, can you not see it is all carved in the tree of fate That a son of the north must forfill his destined course to follow the bond of blood [Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood Bond of blood]

This sword of steel that I hold in my hand Ore of this mountain. A sword of this land. Made for a king when the elders were young. To guard us and to guide us in an age since long gone. A sword to protect the peace in troubled times. A sword made to battle and to take a life. This sword is the backbone of the life that I know. Here among the mountains and snow. This sword will be one with me. Body and soul. All of me will be delivering each blow. Slung on my back. Oh it's powers I feel. I can hardly wait to try it's steel. A sword to protect the peace in troubled times. A sword made to battle and to take a life. This sword is the backbone of the life that I know. Here among the mountains and snow. Behold it's sharp beauty. Just look at it's shine. This sword was forged in fire and ice. This sword is the backbone of the life that I know. Here among the mountains and snow. Now I am ready To let this old sword sing again.

Tendons and muscles of steel. And the blaze of lightning in its eyes. White as the snow on the hills. And it's reins, that I hold, they are mine. This stallion and sword in exchange for my heart and both of my eyes. The ravens of swift wings my sight Surely now victory must be mine. Eight legged stallion of mine. Run with the speed of the winds. Eight legged stallion I stride. Run as if you carried wings. I paint thee with the blood from my veins Images of origin long lost. I adorn your white mane and tail With the stars that fell from the sky.
