Cafuné
My fingers draw cartographs Pioneering new lands As they gently coil and twist Through your chestnut hair As they gently coil and twist Cafuné Creating temporary silken Landmarks from which to admire You from Each passing second, a fleeting moment Of vulnerable exploration Your strawberried lips Part as breath gives way to sound Musical proclamations of love etch into my skin Like fountain pens On cartridge paper Being careful to not waste any ink Elegant cursive ribbons tether our hearts in calligraphic fortuity Calligraphic fortuity

The urgency compels words of dark I conjure libraries of shame Calcifying this purpose My mouth, an arid wasteland Twigs crack under the weight of my guilt Your bedside lamp traces divine silhouettes Of the arch in your back against tapestries The haphazard, uncaring way in which he unclasps your bra Inflicts me with seething detestation I will go to war and rain hellfire He will be nothing but a vapour In which I will inhale like smoke I will return
