My lord my holy keeper, How will you shield me from this? It feels parasites swimming inside. The space you once took up, Its held by darkness now, Mindless abandon by your shadow wailing. Sing me into your night, I couldn't be more blinded by you. Drag me all through your life, I couldn't be more broken by you. Keep me tide to your spite, I couldn't be more buried by you. Courage you sneaky creature, Why'd you go show me like this? It feels delusional, grinning aside. The place I first met you, It's filled by darkness now, Spineless abandon by your shadow fading. Empty surrounds all of me, No one, and alone, untouched, unsteady. And here I am just doing everything just for me, I'm by myself, I'm lonely. I'm miserable and tangled, To feel this way - uncertain, To think of you so often, It fills my days like winter, Chills to the bone - you linger. I'm crying slowly. So tell me who the hell would want to live this way - so afraid. To feel this void, to dwell in it. To feel no skin, No warmth within, I never thought I'd mind this much, But I hate it here, And I've had enough, I can't describe this pain I wear, It suffocates and you left it here. I have been falling on the down side, And feeling all of it in full, It's just you're further from my reach now, I cannot stand you're not around. I have been trapped with many sick days, And feeling my heart on the floor, It's just you've vanished from my reach now, In California, not around. Could I be the arrow, One that guides you further than you only could hope for, the way you usually like to ignore.
