In the darkness, I am walking Through the haze hopelessly roaming My hands and feet are stained with blood and clay Devastation now unfolding Desolation slowly dawning The chaos in my mind will never fade And now I’m here Building the pyre And now I’m here I still wonder why I walk through the fire I stand by the burned, collapsing walls I hear the choir The humming of angels, silent calls What am I fighting for?
