Wolftamer
Keep breathing, keep seething The sky has spoken tonight Trees stirring, clouds purring The crescent moon's jaws open wide Keep carving; I'm starving Your anger churns the blood in me Eyes hardened, disheartened A warm wind spurns leaves, blowing Over and under me My eyes and ears are open You close your eyes and turn from me Breathing lies like dust and thunder I wonder With heart and wings unbroken I float aloft in reverie And as I rise abovе, I wander I wander away Your wolven gazе won't slight my husk Your anguish murkens with the dusk Cold silver washes down your face Blurs out the lines, wipes clean the trace Night's shade descends upon the pall Mist rises; raindrops slowly fall I raise my hand to tame the wolf That's slaked its bloodthirst through us all I’ve seen your eyes for the first time Like a sapphire rising from the brine The surface shimmers; your iris glimmers With the moonlight shining through The wind calls me and I must respond With the leaves I recede, am whisked beyond But when you’re ready, keep your tread steady And I will find my way to you
