A flash and life is born Humanity it rises From the land and seas A new life is formed How did this begin? And come alive? In an age long ago, a plague born to kill them all And just before the night they are pulled from the darkness Unknown to the survivors a hand has been given And in their time of need they are saved again Why do they pray to this madness in a house of lies? Must we reveal ourselves to our own creation? In a storm they live and die, born in fire Faith in gods unseen In structures made of stone Hate from religion in a world that’s become torn Inherent in everyone, a growing insanity Can it be stopped in time before they are unborn? A ravaged world releases toxic waste into the air They’re creating their own demise In a war to end all, a weapon’s being built And just before completion they are saved again

The sky rips asunder Invaders fill the void A dark force of nature With only one goal As the violence erupts chaos is born A war of survival For a hundred years the battle rages Most burn to ash, wings of the fallen Undying violent race Remove the angels Born to consume Exist only to dominate Forged within the hall of kings A weapon is born A last chance to strike with all our fury And send them all back through the void

On the horizon, our armies standing strong A wall of machines reflecting in the sunlight Extinction imminent we are witness to the end In one last battle we are lost A calm before the storm In these final hours of life The last war rages on Consuming all those left alive Fire consumes our defective heart Unforgiving pain somewhere deep within A raging storm erupts, and darkness fills the sky Unleashing our own destruction In the storm we sacrifice ourselves A madness to deep to fend So much hope for us all Now gone forever Our time is now at an end On the horizon, our armies stand and fall A wall of destruction reflecting in the sunlight Extinction imminent only one witness in the end In the last battle we are gone

A shadowed figure fades into view The only living thing that’s left here alive A ghostly form across this wasted land Can this be the last survivor? He pulls himself up to rest on the ridge His eyes deceive him, how can this be real? So much gone and lost, the earth forever changed Nothing left for me now but anguish and pain Sun shrouded in dust And the Shadows seem alive Are humans gone now? Just a fading memory? He makes his way across the devastation He finds a weapon never before seen by man Hungry and tired, eyes burn in the sun As he pulls it from the earth, it flashes and he’s gone
