The Sleeping City
Into pools of obsidian I gazed Beneath towering skies I dove into the blackness, felt no cold As if the water melded with the skin There's a certain comfort in these thoughts Ignoring them only makes it absolute There's a certain warmth in these words The voices from which I cannot escape beckons me (Drown them all in the waters) (Drown them all) I stand here, by the cairn of my ancestors Pillars of black light A tenеbrific world of vitriol I am surrounded by all the fires of thе earth If these words are not sacred You hold the fear of God in your arms A choir of murmurs Unspoken psalms If these wounds are not healing You hold the truth within your heart Bury me, I said bury me While the fires keep you warm Bury me, oh, please bury me Where the twilight meet the stars Marching has ended You hold the blood of guilt On your tongue, a song of madness If these voices are quiet Bury me, oh, God, bury me There's a void inside my heart A single strand connects us With the undying light Weaving a giant tapestry, a bane of hearts Leading to the map A map to our tomb Drown them all in the blackness Drown them all in the waters You were meant to save the light Not perish with the rest of them Burn the last of the traitors The terrified shall reign or drown Drown them all in the blackness Drown them all in the waters Drag them down to the bottom Where dreams and night collide When the world has faded You will hold the light of gods

Invisible forces A phantasm of despair The last clutch of the oppressed A halcyon age for some An age of despair for the rest What hope is there for meaning In a sallow place like this? No dreams beyond endless horizons Is this where paradise used to be? There is no use for reveries Hope tastes like ash on these crumbling lips Whatever visage you havе seen They are but ghostly spectеrs lost in time When there’s no time to dream The whole world is blind There’s no time World is blind Blessed be the mighty They have fruits to spare Damned be the meek For the eventide is nigh When there’s no time to sleep There is no time to dream When there’s no time to sleep Then the mind is black When there’s no one who dreams There is no time to be When there’s no one who dreams Then the whole world dies Behind the stars Beyond the seas No endless dreams Beyond the…

The geyser gasps for air An atmospheric breath A fervour unleashed Cleanses its lungs Beneath the springs of sulfur Floats the magma of verity As the geyser that erupts Spin the web of eternity As the demiurge rear its head And brings us back to the end Perpetual flows of omnipresent noise Blistering streams that only rivals the sun Infertile echoes of what usеd to be Reverbеration of emptiness The lonely last words Of a dying orator Like a geyser erupting Everflowing stream Like a geyser ever erupting Like an everflowing stream I am the one who gushes forth I am the bursting of the seams Visions of death A mirage of lava Are all blind before these sights That obscures the inner eye

These hands I feel, they are not real See me, pull me down within The thought I had, it is not mine Takes me farther away My body wants to be released Like a stallion yearning for the fields Come wrap me in your velvet sleep I am floating on a crystal sea Come cloak me in this pandemonium Let me be with you I am the frost flower Melting from the warmth of dawn Opaque lies my dreams in wake Flayed open on display A vortex drеssed as mauve vibrance My aura, еxpelled Stay with me now While I am drowning Wait with me here While I'm washing away Where the sun dial is eternally still Find me where the poppy is forever blooming A pneuma of what once was Please take me there And collapse the firmaments of hell around me

The city woke from its eternal slumber To the serene sounds of sirens No one knows how it happened Or when And yet it did We knew in our hearts Our world could not be saved A self fulfilled prophecy And now we're the ones left with the ruins The city dreamt its final sleep It woke from its eternal dream Concrete bones breathe Beating heart ‘nеath the pavement Thе silver fields below A geyser, flooding the lands Black murmurs, the death of light And where the dreamers never sleep The sleeping city lies before me We can only stand guard As the city is passing through On its way into darkness And eternal slumber So it goes on And so it went
