The Wellspring
I see them walk in masses, yet they are alone They find shelter through each other, closing the circle Together they are strong, but not confident in mind With promising falsehood they follow the book blindly I once walked among them, trying to fit in Trying to learn their ways Their words of kindness was just a lie The promise of truth, a lie When rejected and alone, I felt more alive My Spirit grew and I was free to follow my Will The walls of despair, I tore down And opened a path to find my true self Through shadows I had to walk Search through pain and misery There I found my strength and confidence I have never been more certain

Dejection is growing within me With a heavy heart I grieve inside Feelings that should not exist Always seem to find a way into my life Everything is meaningless Too late for progress Too late for redemption Years of mental torture Starting to manifest Poems of suffering Dreams of desolation Cold grip of loneliness I’m alive yet I’ve never felt so dead My future is swathed in grey I see nothing but a grave A tomb decorated with moss No flowers can be seen Undisturbed, it all seems From this beautiful vision Unthought-of steps are given It becomes clearer every day Death will leap into my life Like I’ve always known deep inside I dream of freedom To float within the spirit realm Astral laws and thousand realms Compel my soul to forget life No turning back No silver cord to pull me back

Every day is the same Standing in the light of day Yet I feel no warmth No surge of happiness No strength to move forward Every night is the same Shrouding myself in the dark I feel so cold, so old Fighting with anxiety Always doomed to lose Shadows of the night Always seem to find me Even during the light of day Bound to this cruel fate Chained to this morbid mind I was never human inside

The towering trees in the forests are long rows of headstones With roots braiding our remains The ancient snow-clad mountain slopes are an abode of souls Drifting under the cerulean skies The shifting sand dunes of the desert are a procession of hearses Carrying the fallen across the land The deepest reaches of the oceans are halcyon deathbeds Cradling the lost unfortunates Over the millennia the earth has borne witness To the lives and deaths of countless generations Can you hear her whisper the stories of our ancestors? Listening unlocks the secrets of ageless wisdom Emboldened by the insight; our fears are gone In nature’s charnel house we never walk alone
